Colin Patrick Harper (born August 21, 1981), known as Collie Buddz, is a singer from Bermuda. He sings reggae music. He signed with Columbia Records to release his first album in 2006. This album, called Collie Buddz, appeared on the Billboard 200 music chart. It included popular songs like "Come Down" and "Mamacita".

Colin Harper was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. His mother was from Bermuda, and he grew up there. He studied audio engineering, which is about how to record and mix music. He went to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

First Album Success (2007)

On June 7, 2007, Collie Buddz released his first album. It was also called Collie Buddz. Columbia Records and Sony BMG helped release it. The album featured his first song, "Come Around," and another song, "Blind To You." His song "Mamacita" became very popular on the radio. It sold about 4 million copies.

Collie Buddz is famous for his 2007 hit "Blind to You." When he performs this song live, he often invites someone from the audience to sing the "Third Verse" with him. After his first album, Buddz started his own music company. He named it Harper Digital Entertainment.

Tours and EPs (2008–2015)

In 2008, Collie Buddz's song "S.O.S." was used as the entrance music for the wrestler Kofi Kingston. This song was part of WWE The Music, Vol. 8. He also appeared on a remix of Kid Cudi's song "Day 'n' Nite" in 2009.

Buddz released his first short album, called an EP, on July 12, 2012. It was named Playback. This EP had eight songs. Different music producers worked on the songs, including Baby Dee Beats and Supa Dups.

In 2013, he toured with other popular bands like Rebelution and Matisyahu. This tour was called the Good Vibes Tour. Collie Buddz has performed at many big music festivals. These include Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and the California Roots Music and Arts Festival.

He released his second EP, Blue Dreamz, on September 4, 2015. This EP had seven new songs.

Good Life (2017) and Hybrid (2019)

Collie Buddz released his second full-length album, Good Life, on May 19, 2017. His company, Harper Digital Entertainment, released it. The album featured other artists like Snoop Dogg, Riff Raff, and Kat Dahlia. Good Life reached number one on the US Billboard Reggae Albums chart. It also reached number 29 on the Independent Albums chart.

His third album, Hybrid, came out on May 24, 2019. It had 10 songs. This album also topped the Billboard reggae albums chart. It featured special guests like B Young, Dizzy Wright, and Tech N9ne.

Cali Roots Riddim Albums

Collie Buddz started releasing his own Riddim albums. A riddim is a musical beat or rhythm that many different artists sing over. He released Cali Roots Riddim 2020 on May 22, 2020. He produced all 22 songs on this album. He worked with Johnny Cosmic, a guitarist and producer, who mixed the songs. This album reached number 7 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. It featured many reggae rock artists.

He released another riddim album, Cali Roots Riddim 2021, on May 28, 2021. This one had 27 songs. Johnny Cosmic also mixed and helped produce this album. It featured more top reggae and rock bands.

After a break, Buddz continued his Cali Roots Riddim series in 2023. The 23-song album was released on June 30. It included artists like Anthony B, Busy Signal, and SOJA.

Take It Easy (2023)

Collie Buddz's fourth album, Take It Easy, was released on September 29, 2023. It was released by Ineffable Records. This album was nominated for ‘Best Reggae Album’ at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Other Projects

In the summer of 2021, Collie Buddz worked with Pablo Robles of Wine Boss. They created a special bottle of rosé wine called "Love and Rosé." It was a limited edition drink.
