History and Naming
The community of Collins was named after a person named Sumner J. Collins. He was an important leader for the Wisconsin Central Railroad in the 1890s. The railroad played a big part in connecting towns and moving goods back then.
Geography and Nature
East of Collins, you can find the Collins Marsh Wildlife Area. This is a special place for nature and animals. It helps protect different kinds of wildlife. It's a great spot for observing nature.
