Cora Richardson-Hodge was born on an island called Saint Thomas. Her parents were from Anguilla. After finishing high school on Saint Thomas, she went to college in the United States. She studied environmental science at the Florida Institute of Technology. Later, she studied law at Stetson University in Florida. She also studied law at the Eugene Depuch Law School in the Bahamas. She earned law degrees from these schools.

Her Journey in Law and Politics

After finishing her studies, Cora Richardson-Hodge returned to Anguilla. She started working as a lawyer. In 2006, she even opened her own law firm. It was first called CR Hodge & Associates, and later changed its name to Iustitia Law Chambers.

Becoming a Leader in Anguilla

Cora Richardson-Hodge became a big part of Anguilla's government. On July 3, 2020, she became the Leader of the Opposition. This means she was the main leader of the political group that was not in power in the House of Assembly. She first won her seat in the House of Assembly during the 2020 Anguillian general election. Before that, she also served as a Minister, which means she was in charge of specific government areas, like Home Affairs.

In the 2025 Anguillian general election, her political group, the Anguilla United Front, won the most seats. Because of this, on February 27, 2025, she was sworn in as the Premier of Anguilla. This was a very special moment because she became the first woman ever to hold this top leadership position in Anguilla's history.
