Cordy Glenn (born September 18, 1989) is a former American football player. He played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). An offensive tackle is a player on the offensive line who blocks for the quarterback and running backs.
Cordy played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. He was recognized as an All-American in 2010. Experts thought he was one of the best offensive guards in his draft class. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 NFL draft. He also played for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Early Life and High School Football
Cordy Glenn grew up in Riverdale, Georgia. He went to Riverdale High School. There, he played as a lineman on both offense and defense. A lineman is a player who plays on the line of scrimmage.
He was considered a top recruit by Rivals.com. They listed him as one of the best offensive guard prospects in 2008.
College Football Career
Cordy Glenn started his college career at the University of Georgia. As a first-year student, called a "true freshman," he played in 13 games. He started 10 of those games.
Because of his strong performance, he was named to College Football News's All-Freshman First-team. This means he was one of the best first-year players in college football.
Glenn holds a record at the University of Georgia. He is tied for the most career starts by an offensive lineman, with 50 starts. He played in different positions on the offensive line, including left guard, left tackle, and right guard.

Before the 2012 NFL draft, experts like Frank Cooney thought Cordy Glenn was the second-best offensive guard available. This showed how talented he was.
Playing for the Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills picked Cordy Glenn in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft. He was the 41st player chosen overall.
In his first game on September 9, 2012, Glenn started as the left tackle. He helped his team's running back, C.J. Spiller, rush for 169 yards. This was a career high for Spiller. Glenn was the first Bills rookie since 1990 to start at left tackle in a season opener.
In his first two games, Glenn and the offensive line did not allow any sacks. A sack is when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage. This was only the second time in the Bills' history that their offensive line prevented any sacks in the first two games of a season.
In November 2012, Glenn was part of an offense that gained 481 total yards. They also held the ball for almost 34 minutes. At the end of the 2012 season, Glenn started 13 games. His offensive line allowed only 30 sacks, which was one of the fewest in the AFC. They also helped the team average 138.6 rushing yards per game, which was second best in the AFC.
In 2013, Glenn started all 16 games for the first time. His offensive line did not give up any sacks or quarterback hits in a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. They also helped the team rush for a season-high 241 yards. Glenn helped two Bills running backs, Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller, each gain over 800 rushing yards. This was only the second time in the team's history this happened.
Glenn continued to be a strong player. He started all 16 games again in 2014 and 2015. In May 2016, he signed a five-year contract extension with the Bills.
In 2017, Glenn had foot and ankle injuries. He only played in six games that season. He was placed on injured reserve in December 2017.
Playing for the Cincinnati Bengals
On March 12, 2018, the Bills traded Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals also received a draft pick, and the Bills received a different draft pick. The trade became official on March 14, 2018.
Glenn became the Bengals' starting left tackle. He started 13 games in 2018, missing three due to injury.
In 2019, the Bengals drafted another offensive lineman, Jonah Williams. Glenn was then moved to left guard. However, he moved back to left tackle after Williams got a season-ending injury.
In September 2019, Glenn missed a game due to a concussion he got during a preseason game. Later, in October 2019, he was suspended by the Bengals for disciplinary reasons related to his concussion treatment. He was back with the team a few days later.
Cordy Glenn was released by the Bengals on March 13, 2020.
