Corey Lavelle Brewer (born January 2, 1975) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He was a talented point guard who played for many teams both in the United States and in Europe.

Early Life and College Basketball
Corey went to West Memphis High School. After high school, he continued to play basketball at Navarro Junior College from 1994 to 1995. He then played at Carl Albert State College from 1995 to 1996. Later, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma. There, he played for two seasons under coach Kelvin Sampson.
Corey was a 6-foot-2-inch (1.88 m) point guard. He weighed about 190 pounds (86 kg). In July 1997, he was chosen to be part of the Under-22 USA Basketball Team. This team won a gold medal at the 1997 Summer Universiade in Trapani, Italy.
Starting His Professional Journey
In 1998, Corey Brewer was picked by the Miami Heat in the 1998 NBA draft. He was the 51st player chosen overall. However, he spent the 1998–1999 season playing for the Grand Rapids Hoops. This team was part of the Continental Basketball Association.
The Miami Heat signed him on September 29, 1999. But they decided to let him go a month later. He did not play in any NBA games for them.
Playing Overseas
In the 1999–2000 season, Corey played for the New Mexico Slam. This team was in the IBL. After that, he started playing for teams in Europe.
He played for Italian teams like Fila Biella from 2000 to 2001. Then he moved to Spain to play in the ACB league. He played for CB Sevilla (2001–2002) and CB Estudiantes (2002–2004).
Corey returned to Italy to play for Caffè Maxim Bologna from 2004 to 2005. He then played for Aris BC in Greece (2005–2006). After that, he joined Spirou Charleroi in Belgium. In the 2007–2008 season, he played for KK Zadar in Croatia. During 2008–2009, Brewer played for ASK Riga. Before the 2010–11 season, he signed with Lleida in Spain's LEB Oro League.
Personal Life
When Corey was fifteen years old, he was involved in a difficult situation. He was reportedly trying to help calm down a street argument when he was injured. He recovered from this event.
