Corey Lavelle Brewer, born on January 2, 1975, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He was a talented point guard who played for many teams during his career.

Early Life and College Basketball
Corey Brewer grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas. He went to West Memphis High School. After high school, he continued his basketball journey in college.
He first played at Navarro Junior College from 1994 to 1995. Then, he moved to Carl Albert State College for the 1995–1996 season. Later, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma. There, he played for two seasons under coach Kelvin Sampson.
In July 1997, Corey was chosen for the Under-22 USA Basketball Team. This was a special team for young, talented players. He was 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 190 pounds, making him a strong point guard.
Professional Career
Starting in the NBA Draft
In 1998, Corey Brewer was picked by the Miami Heat in the 1998 NBA draft. He was the 51st player chosen overall. However, he did not play for the Heat right away.
Instead, he spent the 1998–1999 season playing in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He played for a team called the Grand Rapids Hoops. The Miami Heat signed him in September 1999, but he was released a month later. He never played in an official NBA game.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the CBA, Corey Brewer began playing basketball in other countries. He joined the IBL in the 1999–2000 season, playing for the New Mexico Slam.
He then moved to Europe, where he played for many different teams.
- From 2000 to 2001, he played for Fila Biella in Italy.
- He then moved to Spain, playing for CB Sevilla (2001–2002) and CB Estudiantes (2002–2004).
- He returned to Italy to play for Caffè Maxim Bologna (2004–2005).
- Next, he played for Aris BC in Greece (2005–2006).
- He also played for Spirou Charleroi in Belgium.
- During the 2007–2008 season, he played for KK Zadar in Croatia.
- In 2008–2009, he played for ASK Riga.
- Before the 2010–2011 season, he signed with Lleida in Spain's LEB Oro League.
