Corey Donte Ray (born September 22, 1994) is an American former professional baseball player. He was an outfielder who played in one game in Major League Baseball (MLB). That game was for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2021.

Corey Ray's Early Baseball Days
Corey Ray went to Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, Illinois. Before his senior year, he played in a special game. It was the 2012 Under Armour All-American Game. This game features top young baseball players.
College Baseball Career
The Seattle Mariners drafted Corey in 2013. However, he decided not to sign with them. Instead, he chose to play college baseball. He went to the University of Louisville. There, he played for the Louisville Cardinals.
As a freshman in 2014, Corey played in 43 games. He hit for a .325 batting average. He also hit one home run and had 17 runs batted in (RBI). After this season, he played summer baseball. He joined the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod Baseball League.
In 2015, as a sophomore, he started all 65 games. He had a .325 batting average again. He hit 11 home runs and had 56 RBI. He also stole 34 bases. In one exciting game, he stole home base. This play gave Louisville a win against Wake Forest. That summer, he played for the United States collegiate national team.

In the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, Corey Ray was a top pick. The Milwaukee Brewers chose him as the fifth overall player. He signed with the Brewers.
Starting in the Minor Leagues
Corey began his professional career in 2016. He played for two teams that year. These were the Brevard County Manatees and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He played 60 games. He hit five home runs and stole ten bases.
