What is Cornatzer?
Cornatzer is located where two roads meet: Cornatzer Road (which is also known as SR 1606 and SR 1616) and Milling Road (SR 1600). It's a peaceful spot in the countryside.
How Cornatzer Got Its Name
The community of Cornatzer was named after the Cornatzer family. They used to live in what was then called Advance, North Carolina. The family owned a farm in the area. Later, they sold their farm to the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. This company is famous for making tobacco products. The name "Cornatzer" has stayed with the community ever since.
