Cornell Solomon John is a British actor. He was born in 1963. He has been acting in movies and TV shows since 1999.
He is famous for playing Curtis in the films Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008), and Brotherhood. He also starred as Sam James in the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2013. Before his screen roles, he was the first actor to play Mufasa in the London stage show of The Lion King.

In the early 2000s, Cornell appeared in several TV shows. These included Maisie Raine and Lenny Henry in Pieces. He also acted in movies like Rottweiler and Red Mercury.
Famous Film Roles
One of his most well-known roles is Curtis. He played Curtis, Trevor's uncle, in the 2006 film Kidulthood. He played this character again in the sequel, Adulthood (2008). This movie was directed by fellow actor Noel Clarke. Cornell John returned as Curtis for a third time in Brotherhood in 2016.
In 2008, he played Glenstorm in the fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. He also voiced Glenstorm in the video game based on the movie. In 2018, he appeared as Arnold Guzman in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

EastEnders Role
In 2013, Cornell John joined the cast of the long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders. He played Sam James. His character was the husband of Ava Hartman and father of Dexter Hartman. He first appeared on the show on May 14, 2013, and his final appearance was on December 16, 2013.
