Warner played for seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was part of teams like the Buffalo Braves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout his NBA career, he averaged 6.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. His best season was 1974–75 with the Milwaukee Bucks. In that year, he averaged 7.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
After his time in the NBA, Warner played basketball in other countries. In October 1977, he joined Fribourg Olympic Basket in Switzerland. He played for this club until 1979. During his time there, his team won the Swiss national championship twice, in 1978 and 1979.
