History of Cornerstone Church
How the Church Started
Cornerstone Church began in 1825. It started because another church, Stoney Street Baptist Church in Nottingham city centre, had grown too big. The new church helped more people attend services.
Moving to New Locations
For many years, the church met at Hyson Green Baptist Church. In 1983, the church community moved to Raleigh Street in Radford. This new location gave them more space.
Building a New Home
In 2012, the church moved into a brand new building. This building is on Castle Boulevard in Nottingham. The church members, all 750 of them, helped pay for the new building. It cost about £3.5 million to build.
