About the Grampians Mountain-Correa
The Grampians mountain-correa is a shrub. It usually grows up to 2.5 meters (about 8 feet) tall. Its leaves grow in pairs on opposite sides of the stem. They feel leathery and are oval-shaped. Most leaves are between 20 and 40 millimeters long. They are also 10 to 17 millimeters wide. The underside of the leaves is covered with soft, fawn-colored hairs.

The flowers grow one by one where a leaf meets the stem. Each flower hangs down on a small stalk, which is 2 to 5 millimeters long. The base of the flower is cup-shaped. The main part of the flower is called the corolla. It is shaped like a cylinder. The corolla is 15 to 25 millimeters long. It feels velvety and is covered with many cream-colored to yellowish-brown hairs.
How This Plant Was Named
This special plant was first officially described in 1998. A scientist named Paul Wilson gave it its formal name. He wrote about it in a science journal called Nuytsia. The plant samples he used were collected by David Albrecht in 1986. They were found on Mount William.
