Cory T. Williams is an American lawyer and politician from Oklahoma. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He served as the State Representative for District 34 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2009 to 2019. This means he helped make laws for the state of Oklahoma.

About Cory Williams
Early Life and Education
Cory Williams grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He went to Stillwater High School and graduated in 1996. After high school, he attended Oklahoma State University. He was a very active student leader there.
He earned a degree in political science in 2001. Later, in 2003, he received a master's degree in International Trade and Development. While studying, he even received a special fellowship for his work with American Airlines overseas. In 2006, he completed his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Life in Stillwater
After finishing law school, Cory Williams decided to move back to Stillwater in 2006. He wanted to raise his two sons, Kase and Canton, there. Today, he runs his own law firm in Stillwater. He is also an active member of the legal communities in Payne County and across America.
Cory also helps his community in other ways. He is on the board of the Stillwater YMCA. He also serves on the board of the Payne County Youth Shelter. These organizations help young people in the area.
Political Career
Serving as State Representative
Cory Williams decided to run for State Representative for District 34. This area was usually known for supporting Republican politicians. However, Williams won the election by a very small number of votes. He first took office in 2009.
During his time as a state representative, Williams worked hard on important issues. He was especially focused on making changes to the justice system. This is called criminal justice reform. He wanted to make the laws fairer for everyone.
He also held important roles in the House of Representatives. He was the Assistant Democratic Floor Leader. He also served on committees that dealt with criminal justice, public safety, and higher education.
After the House of Representatives
Cory Williams left his seat in the House of Representatives in 2019. He then ran for a different political job, district attorney, but he did not win that election. His former seat was then filled by Trish Ranson.
More recently, in May 2023, Cory Williams was elected to a new leadership role. He became the Vice Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. This means he helps lead the Democratic Party in Oklahoma.
