Craig Martin was born on January 21, 1971. He is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played as a right winger. Craig played for the Winnipeg Jets and Florida Panthers. He spent two seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL).
His Hockey Journey
The Winnipeg Jets picked Craig in the 1990 NHL Draft. He was the 98th player chosen overall.
During the 1994–95 NHL season, he played 20 games for the Jets. He made one assist in these games. He also had 19 penalty minutes. Craig played one more game in the NHL. This was for the Florida Panthers in the 1996–97 season. In that game, he got five penalty minutes.
A Special Honor
In July 2018, Craig Martin received a special award. He was inducted into the Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame. Two other Black former professional players from his hometown, Amherst, were also honored. These players were Bill Riley and Mark McFarlane.
