Craig Richard Worthington (born April 17, 1965) is a former professional baseball player from the United States. He played as a third baseman in Major League Baseball (MLB) for parts of seven seasons. His career in MLB lasted from 1988 to 1996.
Craig played for several teams, including the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Texas Rangers. He also played baseball in other countries. He spent time with the Hanshin Tigers in Japan and the Koos Group Whales in Taiwan.

Craig Worthington's Baseball Career
Early Life and Draft
Craig Worthington grew up in Montebello, California. He went to Cantwell High School there. After high school, he was chosen to play professional baseball.
The Baltimore Orioles picked him in the first round of the 1985 amateur draft. This meant they saw a lot of potential in him as a player.
Playing in Major League Baseball
As a third baseman, Craig Worthington showed great promise early in his career. In 1989, while playing for the Baltimore Orioles, he hit 15 home runs. He also had 70 RBIs, which means he helped score 70 runs for his team.
His strong performance in 1989 earned him a special honor. He was named to the Topps rookie all-star team. This team recognizes the best new players in the league.
After his time with the Orioles, Craig played for other MLB teams. These included the Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Texas Rangers.
Playing Overseas
Towards the end of his professional career, Craig Worthington also played baseball outside of the United States. In 1996, he played for the Hanshin Tigers in Japan. The next year, in 1997, he played for the Koos Group Whales in Taiwan. This gave him experience in different baseball leagues around the world.
