Cristiana Corsi (born April 23, 1976, in Rome, Italy – died February 22, 2016) was a talented Italian taekwondo athlete. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that uses lots of kicks and punches. Cristiana was one of the best taekwondo players in Italy during her time. She won nine medals in her career.

Her achievements include a gold medal at the 2002 European Championships in Samsun, Turkey. She also won a silver medal at the 2003 Summer Universiade in Daegu, South Korea. Cristiana was chosen to represent Italy at two Olympic Games, in 2000 and 2004. In both Olympics, she finished in fifth place in her weight category. Throughout her career, she trained in Rome with her coach, Park Young-Gil.

Sydney 2000 Olympics

Cristiana made her first Olympic appearance at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She competed in the women's 57-kilogram weight class. Her first match was a good win against Carmen Silva from Brazil.

After that, she faced Jung Jae-eun from South Korea and lost. Cristiana then had a chance to win a bronze medal in a special round called the repechage. However, she narrowly lost to Virginia Lourens from the Netherlands. This placed her in fifth position overall.

Athens 2004 Olympics

Cristiana qualified for her second Olympics at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. She competed again in the women's 57-kilogram featherweight class. Many people thought she would reach the final because she was a top-ranked athlete.

She started well with a win against Gwladys Épangue from France. But then, she had a surprising loss to Nia Abdallah from the United States in the quarterfinals. Cristiana had another chance for a medal in the repechage. She won against Margarita Mkrtchyan from Russia. However, she lost her next match to Iridia Salazar from Mexico. This meant she finished in fifth place, just like in Sydney.
