Crooked Lake is located in the southeastern region of Saskatchewan. It is part of a chain of lakes in the Qu'Appelle Valley. The majority of the south side of the lake is undeveloped and part of the First Nation Reserve. Cabins are built along the rest of the lake owned by both seasonal and permanent residents.

Recreation
Crooked Lake offers a variety of activities during both the summer and the winter. During the summer, fishing from both boats and docks is very popular. The lake produces an assortment of fish including Northern pike, Walleye, rock bass and Yellow perch. The lake is also a popular place for a large variety of water sports. Off the water activities are also offered due to its proximity with the Trans Canada Trail.
Locations
Cedar Cove
Cedar Cove is found along the eastern side of the lake with beautiful beach access. Located there are 80 full service campsites with washroom facilities including showers. A full service convenience store. Cedar Cove also has a beach and swim area open to the public. There is also a large boat storage yard and provisions for docks and boat lifts. There is also a large playground structure close to the beach.
Coyote Gulch Campgrounds
Coyote Gulch is a seasonal campground located along the north-eastern side of Crooked Lake. The park has 56 full service RV trailer sites, boat dock, playground, fire pits, showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities.
Crooked Lake Provincial Park
Along the eastern side of the lake is Crooked Lake Provincial Park. The park has campgrounds, a swimming area, a boat launch, and a playground. The Trans Canada Trail makes its way through this scenic area.
Sunset Beach
Located at the eastern end of the lake is Sunset Beach. It encompasses 22 campsites, a full service convenience store, and a small arcade. There is also a beach and swim area which contains a playground, a boat launch, and beach volleyball courts. Every Sunday from June to September, local farmers bring fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, and baked goods to sell at the flea market.
Last Oak Golf and Country Club
In the valley is Last Oak Golf and Country Club, an 18-hole golf course, equipped with a pro shop, restaurant, and lounge. Located close by is Cowessess First Nation's Shopping Mall, with outlets including the Cowessess Gas and Grocery, Cowessess Post Office, Clean Valley Laundromat, Treaty Land Entitlement Office.
