In 2020, about 3,944 people lived in Cross Mountain. This was an increase from 3,124 people in 2010. Cross Mountain is also part of the larger San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Where is Cross Mountain?

Cross Mountain is located in the northwestern part of Bexar County. It shares a border with the big city of San Antonio to its east. Another community, Scenic Oaks, is to its north.

Downtown San Antonio is about 22 miles (35 km) to the southeast. The total area of Cross Mountain is about 6.7 square miles (17.4 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
