Where Does Crouse Creek Flow?

From where it starts, Crouse Creek flows generally north and northeast. It travels through a narrow valley known as Crouse Creek Canyon. Eventually, it empties into the Green River in an area called Browns Park. This meeting point is at the mouth of Swallow Canyon.

How Did Crouse Creek Get Its Name?

Crouse Creek is named after Charles Crouse, an early rancher. He settled along the banks of this stream in 1880. Before it was called Crouse Creek, it had another name: Jimmie Reed Creek. This name came from an earlier settler, Jimmie Reed, who built a cabin at the stream's mouth in 1876.
