Crystle Stewart Sebrechts (born September 20, 1981) is an American actress and former beauty queen. She is also known by her maiden name, Crystle Stewart.
Crystle started her acting career in 2011. She played Leslie Morris in the TV show For Better or Worse until 2017. Later, she appeared in the 2018 movie Acrimony.
Before acting, Crystle won the titles of Miss Texas USA 2008 and Miss USA 2008. She then represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant, where she finished in the Top 10. From 2020 to 2023, Crystle was the national director for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. She stepped down from this role in August 2023.

Life and Career
Early Life
Crystle Stewart was born in Houston, Texas. Her parents are Robert and Cynthia Franklin Stewart. She has a brother named Robert and a sister named Breana.
Pageantry Journey
Crystle won the Miss Texas USA 2008 title on July 1, 2007. The competition was held in Laredo, Texas. She competed against 121 other contestants to win the crown. At that time, she ran a company that planned parties and offered motivational speeches. She also worked as a professional model.
Crystle graduated from Elkins High School in Missouri City. She also graduated from the University of Houston in 2007. Additionally, she studied at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Houston.
Crystle tried to win the Miss Texas USA title five times. She came very close in 2006 and 2007, finishing as the first runner-up both times. In 2005, she was the third runner-up. She made it to the semi-finals in 2003. In 2008, she finally won the title. She was also given the "Everything but Water Swimsuit" award. Crystle is the second African American woman to win the Miss Texas USA crown. The first was Chelsi Smith in 1995.
On April 11, 2008, Crystle represented Texas in the Miss USA 2008 pageant. She became the ninth person from Texas to win the Miss USA title. During her time as Miss USA, she supported many charities. She also gave interviews and made public appearances. On April 26, she attended the White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
Crystle has a degree in consumer science and merchandising from the University of Houston. She is represented by the Neal Hamil Agency in Houston as a model.
On July 13, 2008, Crystle represented the US at the Miss Universe pageant. This event took place in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She made it into the top 10 contestants. During the evening gown competition, Crystle had a small slip and fell. She quickly encouraged the audience to applaud by clapping her hands. She finished eighth overall in the competition.
In November 2020, Crystle became the national director of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. She helped separate these pageants into a new organization. This organization became independent from the Miss Universe Organization. Crystle was the first African American woman to hold this important position.
Hosting Roles
Crystle hosted the Miss Teen USA 2009 competition on July 31, 2009. She hosted it alongside Seth Goldman. They both hosted the Miss Teen USA pageant again on July 24, 2010.
Crystle has also co-hosted several Miss Texas USA pageants. She has hosted some with her husband, Max Sebrechts. She also co-hosted with Jason Feinberg. On June 5, 2016, Crystle was a judge at the Miss USA 2016 pageant. This event was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Acting Career
In 2011, Crystle started her acting career. She appeared in an episode of the sitcom House of Payne. That same year, Tyler Perry cast her in a main role. She played Leslie Morris in the TV series For Better or Worse. She was on the show for six seasons.
In 2012, Perry cast Crystle in her first movie, Good Deeds. She played the role of a secretary. In 2017, she was cast in another series by Perry. She played Frankie in the drama series Too Close to Home. In 2018, she appeared in Perry's thriller movie Acrimony. Crystle also appeared in one episode of the TV series The Exes.
In 2024, Crystle was cast in a main role in the Netflix drama series, Beauty in Black.
Personal Life
Crystle married Belgian model Max Sebrechts in August 2014. In 2017, they welcomed their first child, a daughter. They have two children.
