Crystle Stewart Sebrechts, born on September 20, 1981, is an American actress and a former beauty queen. She is well-known for winning the Miss Texas USA 2008 and Miss USA 2008 titles. She also represented the United States in the Miss Universe 2008 pageant, where she placed in the Top 10.

Crystle Stewart started her acting career in 2011. She played Leslie Morris in the TV show For Better or Worse until 2017. Later, she appeared in the 2018 movie Acrimony. From 2020 to 2023, she was the national director for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Crystle Danae Stewart is an African American. She grew up in Texas. She went to Elkins High School in Missouri City.

After high school, Crystle studied at the University of Houston. She graduated in 2007 with a degree in consumer science and merchandising. She also attended the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Houston.

Journey in Pageants

Crystle Stewart had a long journey in beauty pageants. She tried for the Miss Texas USA title several times. In 2003, she made it to the semi-finals. She placed third runner-up in 2005. Then, she was first runner-up in both 2006 and 2007.

Her hard work paid off in 2007. Crystle won the Miss Texas USA 2008 title. The pageant was held in Laredo, Texas. She competed against many other contestants. At that time, she also ran a party-planning business. She worked as a professional model too.

On April 11, 2008, Crystle represented Texas in the Miss USA 2008 pageant. She became the ninth person from Texas to win the Miss USA title. During her time as Miss USA, she worked with many charities. She also gave interviews and made public appearances.

Miss Universe Experience

On July 13, 2008, Crystle Stewart represented the United States at the Miss Universe pageant. This event took place in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She made it into the Top 10 finalists.

During the evening gown competition, Crystle accidentally stumbled. However, she quickly recovered. She encouraged the audience to applaud her. She finished eighth overall in the competition.

Leading Pageant Organizations

In 2012, she appeared in her first movie, Good Deeds. She played a secretary in the film. In 2017, she was a regular cast member in the TV drama Too Close to Home. In 2018, she acted in the movie Acrimony. She also appeared in an episode of the TV series The Exes.

In 2024, Crystle Stewart was cast in a main role for the Netflix drama series, Beauty in Black.

Personal Life

Crystle Stewart married Belgian model Max Sebrechts in August 2014. In 2017, they welcomed their first child, a daughter. They now have two children.
