Cutten is a small community in Humboldt County, California, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one. Cutten is part of the larger Eureka area.
The community was named after David Page Cutten and his family. They were important people in Humboldt County in the early 1850s. Cutten is located about 2.5 miles (4 km) south-southeast of downtown Eureka. It sits at an elevation of 200 feet (61 m) above sea level. In 2020, about 3,223 people lived in Cutten. This was a small increase from 3,108 people in 2010.
