Daisuke Nasu (那須 大亮, Nasu Daisuke, born 10 October 1981) is a Japanese football player. He is known for playing as a defender. He has played for several top Japanese clubs during his career.

Daisuke Nasu's Football Journey

Daisuke Nasu was born in Minamisatsuma, Japan, on October 10, 1981. He started his professional football career in 2002. This was while he was still a student at Komazawa University.

Starting at Yokohama F. Marinos

Nasu joined J1 League club Yokohama F. Marinos in 2002. He usually played as a central defender. However, in 2003, his new coach, Takeshi Okada, used him as a defensive midfielder. He became a regular player and was even named Rookie of the Year in 2003.

His team, Yokohama F. Marinos, won the J1 League championship two years in a row, in 2003 and 2004. After 2006, he played less often for the team.

Moving to Other Clubs

In 2008, Nasu moved to Tokyo Verdy. He played as a central defender again, which was his original position. However, Tokyo Verdy finished near the bottom of the league and was moved down to the J2 League.

In 2009, he joined Júbilo Iwata. He continued to play as a central defender. In 2010, he played as a defensive midfielder. Júbilo Iwata won the 2010 J.League Cup that year. From mid-2011, he also played as a left-sided defender.

In 2012, Nasu moved to Kashiwa Reysol. He played in many matches as both a side defender and a central defender. Kashiwa Reysol won the 2012 Emperor's Cup that season.

Time at Urawa Red Diamonds

In 2013, he joined Urawa Reds. He became a regular central defender for the team. He even scored 9 goals in the 2013 season, which is a lot for a defender! He was also chosen for the Best Eleven team in 2013. After 2016, he played less often as a new player, Wataru Endo, joined the team.

In 2018, he moved to Vissel Kobe.

Retirement and Return

Daisuke Nasu decided to retire from football at the end of the 2019 season. After retiring, he started a new career as a YouTuber.
