The Dakhla-Oued ad Dahab region is one of the 12 new areas in Morocco. It was created in 2015 as part of a big change to how the country is divided. This region has the same borders as the older region known as Oued ad Dahab (which means "River of Gold" in Arabic). The main city and capital of this region is Dakhla.
