How Dale Began
Dale started around the year 1871. This was when a new railroad line was built through the area. Railroads were very important back then for travel and moving goods.
The community got its name from a man named Reuben Dale. He owned a mill nearby, which was a place where grain was ground into flour.
A post office opened in Dale in 1882. This meant people could send and receive mail right in their own community, which was a big deal!
