Dalmar Abuzeid facts for kids

Dalmar Abuzeid is a Canadian actor born on October 23, 1990. He became well-known for playing Danny Van Zandt in the popular TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2004 to 2010. After Degrassi, he appeared in many other TV series.

In 2019, Dalmar received great praise for his role in the Netflix series Anne with an E. He even won an ACTRA Award and a Canadian Screen Award for his acting. His role in Anne with an E was special because he was the first Black actor to be part of the Anne of Green Gables story series.

Dalmar Abuzeid first became famous for playing Danny Van Zandt on the Canadian TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation. This show was very popular. At the same time, he also had a main role on the Teletoon series Majority Rules!.

Dalmar won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Guest Performance in a Drama Series in 2020 for his work on Anne with an E. He also received an ACTRA Award for this role.

Dalmar Abuzeid also has a passion for music. He played bass guitar in a band called SoundSpeed. This band had six members, including his friend Sean Farquharson. Four other actors from Degrassi were also in the band. These included Raymond Ablack (who sang), Jamie Johnston (who played guitar), Shane Kippel (who played drums), and Scott Paterson (who played keytar). The band released a short album with three songs in January 2010.
