Damien Dothard (born in 1975, died July 22, 2009) was an American professional wrestler. He was best known by his ring name, Damian Steele.
Steele wrestled mostly in smaller, independent wrestling companies across North America. One of these was Georgia Championship Wrestling. Later, he signed a special contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). This contract sent him to their training ground, called Deep South Wrestling (DSW). While at DSW, he was part of a tag team called Ebony and Ivory with his partner, Ray Gordy.

Damian Steele's Wrestling Journey
Starting Out in Georgia Championship Wrestling (2004-2005)
Damian Steele began his professional wrestling career in 2004. Early on, he teamed up with AJ Steele. Together, they challenged for the GCW Tag Team Championships in October 2004.
The next month, AJ Steele chose Damian as his new partner. They had to defend their tag team titles against other wrestlers. They successfully kept the belts for a while. However, they eventually lost them to Elix Skipper and John Bogie in December 2004.
Steele continued to wrestle in many matches. He competed for the GCW Television Championship multiple times. In June, he won the GCW Television Championship. He then combined this title with the US Junior Heavyweight title.
He had a big rivalry with Jason Cross over the title. Steele lost the title to Jason Cross in July. He wrestled his last match in Georgia Championship Wrestling in October 2005.
Joining World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)
Training at Deep South Wrestling (2005-2006)
In late 2005, Steele moved to Deep South Wrestling (DSW). This was WWE's training territory. Here, wrestlers learn and improve their skills.
In January 2006, he got his first big win in DSW. Soon after, he started teaming up with Ray Gordy. They formed the tag team "Ebony and Ivory." They quickly became a strong team. They faced other teams like The Slaughter Boys and The Gymini.
Ebony and Ivory also teamed up with Bill DeMott in a six-man tag team match. They won this match. They continued to wrestle against many different opponents.
In March, they competed in a tournament for the DSW Tag Team Championship. They were defeated by the Blue Bloods (William Regal and David Taylor).
Steele also had some single matches. He faced wrestlers like Palmer Canon and The Great Khali. Ebony and Ivory continued to wrestle as a team. They faced teams like Urban Assault and The Major Brothers.
In September 2006, Damian Steele and Ray Gordy made their first appearance on WWE's SmackDown! show. They wrestled against The Pitbulls.
Later Career (2007-2009)
After his time with WWE, Steele returned to Georgia Championship Wrestling. He made his official return in April 2007. He won his first match back.
He continued to wrestle in various events. He competed in the fourth annual War Games show.

Damien Dothard had two sons. Before he passed away, he worked as a personal trainer.
Damien Dothard died in his sleep on July 22, 2009. He was at his home in Smyrna, Georgia. Doctors later found that he died from a brain aneurysm. This is a serious medical condition.
