Damon Jackson Buford was a professional baseball player from the United States. He was born on June 12, 1970. Damon played as a center fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for several famous teams. These included the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox. He also played for the New York Mets, Texas Rangers, and Chicago Cubs. Damon played in the MLB from 1993 to 2001. He batted and threw with his right hand.

Playing in College
Before playing professionally, Damon Buford played baseball in college. He went to the University of Southern California. His team was called the Trojans. Some of his teammates also became professional players. These included Bret Barberie and Bret Boone. Damon also played collegiate summer baseball. This was with the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He played there in 1989 and 1990.
Playing for Different Teams

Damon Buford was born in Baltimore. He grew up in Los Angeles. He went to Birmingham High School there. Damon's father, Don Buford, was also a baseball player. Don played for the USC Trojans and in the MLB. Later, his father worked as a hitting coach. He helped players learn how to hit the ball better.
