Damone Lamar Brown was born on June 28, 1979. He is an American former professional basketball player. He is 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 212 pounds. He played the forward position.
Damone Brown played college basketball at Syracuse University. After college, the Philadelphia 76ers chose him in the second round of the 2001 NBA draft. During his time in the NBA, he played for the 76ers, the Toronto Raptors, the New Jersey Nets, and the Washington Wizards. He averaged about 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per game in 39 games. He also played seven preseason games with the Indiana Pacers in the 2005–06 season.
His last NBA game was on April 15, 2005. The Philadelphia 76ers won against the Cleveland Cavaliers 119 to 111. In that game, Damone Brown scored 2 points and got 1 rebound in 3 minutes.
In 2007, Brown was part of the NBA Development League team called the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Later, in the 2008 D-League Expansion Draft, the Reno Bighorns picked up his player rights. In 2010, Brown played for the Buffalo Stampede in the PBL (Premier Basketball League).

Coaching Career
Starting as an Assistant Coach
In 2015, Damone Brown began his coaching journey. He was hired as an assistant coach at Villa Maria College in Buffalo, New York. He spent three seasons helping the Vikings basketball team.
Becoming a Head Coach
After his time at Villa Maria, Brown became the head coach at Bryant & Stratton College of Buffalo. He led their brand-new basketball program. In their first season, he guided the Bobcats to a 17–12 record. They even made it to the National Final Four in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) tournament.
In the following season, Brown again led the Bobcats to the national tournament. They finished with a 19–11 record. The tournament was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Damone Brown also continues to offer private coaching lessons in upstate New York through CoachUp.
