Daniel Albert Halldorson (born April 2, 1952 – died November 18, 2015) was a Canadian professional golfer. He played golf for a living on important tours like the PGA Tour and the Canadian Tour.

Early Life
Dan Halldorson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He grew up in Brandon, Manitoba.
Professional Golf Career
Dan became a professional golfer in 1971. He joined the Canadian Tour in 1973. Later, in 1975, he started playing on the bigger PGA Tour.
Winning Tournaments
Dan won seven tournaments on the Canadian Tour. He also won one official PGA Tour event. This was the 1980 Pensacola Open. That year, he had his best ranking on the PGA Tour money list, finishing 36th.
He also won an unofficial tournament called the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic in 1986.
Representing Canada
Dan was a member of the Canadian national team seven times. He played in the WGC-World Cup in 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1985, and 1991. His teams won the World Cup twice, in 1980 and 1985.
After the PGA Tour
After turning 50 in 2002, Dan played for a short time on the Champions Tour. This tour is for older professional golfers.
He also had a business that designed golf courses. He worked with another former PGA Tour golfer, Mike Morley. Dan also wrote a book to help people learn golf. He was also a deputy director for the Canadian Tour.

Dan Halldorson lived in Cambridge, Illinois, in the United States. He passed away at 63 years old from a serious stroke.
