Daniel John Bedingfield (born on December 3, 1979) is a talented singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor from New Zealand and Britain. He became famous with his first album, Gotta Get thru This, released in 2002. This album had three songs that reached number one in the UK: "Gotta Get thru This", "If You're Not the One", and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side". His second album, Second First Impression, came out in 2004. Daniel was also a judge on The X Factor New Zealand in 2013. He has written songs for other artists and performed in plays in London.

Early Life
Daniel Bedingfield was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He went to Lynfield College there. He has two younger sisters, Natasha Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle, who are also singers.
Music Career
Becoming a Star: 2001–2003
Daniel released his first song, "Gotta Get Thru This", in November 2001. This song quickly became popular in the UK and reached the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart. He then had two more number-one hits: "If You're Not the One" and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side". He also had three other songs that made it into the top ten.
His first album, also called Gotta Get thru This, was recorded at home. It reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 4 million copies around the world.
New Music and Other Projects: 2004–2011
In 2004, Daniel won a BRIT Award for Best British Male Artist. He then released his second album, Second First Impression, which reached number 8 in the UK. This album included two songs that made it into the UK Top 20: "Nothing Hurts Like Love" and "Wrap My Words Around You".
After 2004, Daniel continued to work on music and with other artists. He helped write songs for singers like David Archuleta and Pixie Lott. He also sang on tracks with other musicians and spent time writing and recording in places like Jamaica and Israel.
TV Shows and Acting: 2012–2016
In February 2012, Daniel released a new song called "Rocks Off". He also released an EP (which is like a mini-album) called Stop the Traffik – Secret Fear.
Later in 2012, Daniel became a judge on the first season of The X Factor New Zealand. He worked alongside other famous judges like Stan Walker and Melanie Blatt. Daniel was in charge of mentoring the "Girls" category, and his sister Natasha even helped him out. His team won the competition when Jackie Thomas became the champion!
In August 2013, Daniel was also a judge on a special TV show called X Factor Around the World. He performed two of his songs, "If You're Not the One" and "Every Little Thing", on the show.
Daniel also helped write "I Wanna Feel" by SecondCity, which became a number one hit in the UK in 2014. This was his fourth number one song in the UK! He also worked with the K-pop group Spica, helping them with their music. In 2015, he co-wrote a song for Ben Haenow, who won The X Factor UK in 2014.
From February to April 2016, Daniel acted in a musical in London's West End called The War of the Worlds.

In January 2024, Daniel Bedingfield announced that he would be going on a tour across the UK in April 2024.
Personal Life
In 2004, while visiting his parents in New Zealand, Daniel was in a serious car accident. He was badly hurt with head and neck injuries.
Daniel Bedingfield is autistic.
His mother, Molly Bedingfield, started a charity called Global Angels. Daniel helps with fundraising for this charity. He also helped start the Stop the Traffik group, which works to fight against modern slavery.
