Daniel Heath Justice facts for kids
Daniel Heath Justice is a well-known academic and writer. He is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and also a Canadian citizen. He teaches about First Nations and Indigenous Studies, as well as English, at the University of British Columbia.

In 2015, he earned the UBC Killam Research Prize. This award recognized his important leadership in the field of Indigenous Literary Studies. It also honored his many contributions to this area. In 2010, he received the Ludwik and Estelle Jus Memorial Human Rights Prize. This was awarded at the University of Toronto. The University of Toronto noted his positive impact on Indigenous students. He helped them think about social justice and how to fight against unfairness.
