Daniel Aaron Lissing (born on October 4, 1981) is an actor from Australia. He is most famous for playing Jack Thornton in the TV series When Calls the Heart. He was on this show from 2014 to 2018. Daniel also had important roles in other TV shows. These include Crownies in 2011 and Last Resort from 2012 to 2013.

Early Roles and Australian TV
In 2006, Daniel Lissing appeared in the popular Australian show Home and Away. He played a firefighter named Dave Elder. This was one of his early guest roles.
In 2011, he joined the cast of the series Crownies. He played Conrad De Groot. Conrad was engaged to a lawyer named Tatum Novak, played by Indiana Evans. Daniel stayed on the show until it ended that same year. Also in 2011, he was in a movie called Entwined, where he played a character named Aiden.
Moving to American TV Shows
In 2012, Daniel Lissing was announced as part of the American TV series Last Resort. He played James King, a petty officer and Navy SEAL. On this show, he worked with actors like Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman.
That same year, he also acted in a movie called The Cure. In this film, he played Ryan Earl. Ryan was part of a research team and wanted more fame for his work.
In September 2014, Daniel joined the cast of MTV's thriller series Eye Candy. He had a main role as Ben Miller. In 2016, Daniel Lissing appeared with Jessica Lowndes in the Hallmark Channel movie A December Bride. He played the character Seth. In 2018, he and Brooke D'Orsay starred together in another Hallmark movie called Christmas in Love. Daniel has continued to appear in many TV films, including A Christmas Star (2021), Catering Christmas (2022), and Christmas Keepsake (2023). In 2024, he was in the Hallmark movie Santa Tell Me.
