Danny Dunn and the Weather Machine is an exciting science fiction adventure book. It's the fourth story in the popular Danny Dunn series. Raymond Abrashkin and Jay Williams wrote this book. It first came out in 1959. Ezra Jack Keats drew the original pictures for it.
What's the Story About?
In this book, Danny Dunn makes an amazing discovery. Professor Bulfinch is working on a special machine. It's called an ionic transmitter. Danny finds out by accident that this machine can do something incredible. It can create tiny rainclouds! Imagine what could happen with a machine like that.
Different Book Versions
This book has been printed many times since 1959. Here are some of the different versions:
- The first versions came out in 1959 from McGraw-Hill. They were available in both paperback and hardback. Ezra Jack Keats did the illustrations for these.
- In 1975, MacDonald and Jane's published a hardback version. Anne Mieke drew the pictures for this one.
- Pocket Books/Archway Books released paperback versions. One came out in 1979, and another in 1983. Ezra Jack Keats illustrated these later editions too.
