Danny Murphy's Early Life and Accident
Danny Murphy grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1974, when he was 19 years old, he had a serious diving accident. This accident happened at Martha's Vineyard, a famous island in Massachusetts. Because of the accident, Danny became a quadriplegic. This means he had a disability that affected the use of all four of his limbs (arms and legs). His friend, director Peter Farrelly, was with him when the accident happened.
