Dante Rafael López Fariña (born August 16, 1983) is a former professional football player from Paraguay. He played as a forward, which is a player whose main job is to score goals.
Dante López was born in Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay. He played for many different football clubs throughout his career in several countries. He also represented his home country, Paraguay, in international matches.

Dante López started his professional football career in Paraguay. He played for clubs like Sol de América and Cerro Porteño in his early years.
Playing in Europe
In 2003, Dante López moved to Israel to play for Maccabi Haifa. After that, he played in Spain for Córdoba CF in 2004. He then moved to Italy, joining Genoa in 2006 and later Crotone. While playing for Crotone, his good performance helped him get noticed.
Representing Paraguay
Because of his strong play, Dante López was chosen to join the Paraguay national team. He played for his country in important tournaments like the 2007 Copa America. Playing for the national team is a big honor for any footballer.
Back to South America
After his time in Italy, Dante López returned to Paraguay. He played for Libertad and later for Olimpia. He also had a very successful period playing in Mexico for UNAM. He played many games and scored many goals for them.
In 2016, Dante López joined Zacatepec in Mexico, and his last club was Deportivo Capiatá in Paraguay in 2017.
