Dante Rafael López Fariña, born on August 16, 1983, is a former professional football player from Paraguay. He was known for playing as a forward, which means he was usually trying to score goals for his team.

A Look at Dante López's Career
Dante López was born in Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay. He started his football journey playing for various clubs in his home country.
Playing in Europe
After playing in Paraguay, Dante López moved to Europe to play football. He joined Maccabi Haifa in Israel in 2003. Later, he played for Córdoba CF in Spain.
In 2006, he moved to Italy to play for Genoa. After that, he joined Crotone. His good performance with Crotone helped him get noticed.
Representing Paraguay
Because of his strong play at Crotone, Dante López was chosen to play for the Paraguay national team. He played for Paraguay in the 2007 Copa America, which is a big football tournament for South American countries.
Return to South America
After Crotone was moved down to a lower league in Italy, López decided to return to Paraguay. He joined Libertad in 2007.
Later, he moved to Mexico and played for UNAM. He had a very successful time with UNAM, playing many games and scoring lots of goals.
In 2016, López joined Zacatepec in Mexico. He finished his career playing for Deportivo Capiatá in Paraguay in 2017.

* He helped Libertad win the Paraguayan Primera División in the Apertura 2008 season. This is one of the top football leagues in Paraguay.
- With UNAM:
* He was part of the UNAM team that won the Liga MX (the top Mexican league) twice. They won in the Clausura 2009 and Clausura 2011 seasons.
- Individual Award:
* Dante López was also recognized for his goal-scoring ability. He was the top scorer in the Paraguayan 1st Division in 2005. This means he scored more goals than any other player that season!
