Dante Martin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has an older brother named Darius Martin. Darius is also a professional wrestler. Both brothers grew up loving wrestling.
Becoming a Wrestler
Starting Out (2016–Present)
Dante Martin and his brother Darius learned to wrestle in Minnesota. Their trainer was Ken Anderson. They started their wrestling careers in 2016. They formed a tag team called "Top Flight."
Before joining AEW, Dante wrestled for many different companies. These included Over the Top Wrestling in Ireland and AAW Wrestling in Illinois. He also wrestled for Game Changer Wrestling and Major League Wrestling (MLW).
Joining AEW and ROH (2020–Present)
In October 2020, Top Flight made their debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). They wrestled on a show called AEW Dark. Soon after, in November, AEW announced that they had signed both brothers.
In early 2021, Darius got a serious knee injury. This meant Dante had to wrestle by himself for a while. During this time, Dante had many important matches. He wrestled against famous wrestlers like Kenny Omega and Malakai Black.
Later in 2021, Dante briefly teamed up with Lio Rush. They won some matches together. Dante then joined a group called Team Taz. But he soon left the group after winning a special battle royal. This showed he was a strong solo competitor.
In March 2022, Dante's brother Darius returned from his injury. They reunited as Top Flight in a big tag team match. But their reunion was short. Darius was in a car accident and got injured again. Dante went back to wrestling alone. He challenged Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship. He didn't win, but Page praised him as a future champion.
Dante continued to wrestle in big matches. He competed in the Owen Hart Cup tournament. He also challenged for the AEW TNT Championship. In September 2022, he took part in a Casino Ladder match at All Out (2022).
In November 2022, Darius returned to wrestling again. Top Flight teamed up with AR Fox. They challenged for the AEW World Trios Championship. They also wrestled for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. In December 2022, Top Flight made their debut in Ring of Honor (ROH). They won a big battle royal with AR Fox. This led to some exciting matches against the Blackpool Combat Club.
In January 2023, Top Flight had a big win. They defeated The Young Bucks in an upset victory. However, in April 2023, Dante suffered another serious leg injury.
Dante returned to action in November 2023. He teamed up with Darius and Action Andretti. They had many tag team matches. They challenged for the AEW World Trios Championship. In December 2024, Top Flight faced Andretti and Lio Rush. This match hinted at new rivalries for the future.
