Danzell Ivan Lee (born March 16, 1963) is a former American football player. He played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for two seasons. He was part of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons. The Washington Redskins chose him in the 1985 NFL draft. Before playing professionally, he played college football at Lamar University.

Early Life and College Football
Danzell Ivan Lee was born on March 16, 1963. His hometown is Corsicana, Texas. He went to Corsicana High School there.
He earned a scholarship to play college football at Lamar University. Danzell was a member of the Lamar Cardinals team from 1981 to 1984. He was a key player for three years, from 1982 to 1984. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University.
Professional Football Career
The Washington Redskins picked Danzell Lee in the 1985 NFL draft. He was the 163rd player chosen overall. He officially joined the team on July 18, 1985. However, he was injured and spent the entire 1985 season recovering. The Redskins released him in August 1986.
Playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers
Danzell Lee signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 1987. He was released briefly but then re-signed in September 1987. This happened during a time when NFL players were on strike. He stayed with the Steelers after the strike ended.
During the 1987 season, he played in 13 games for the Steelers. He started all of those games. He caught 12 passes for a total of 124 yards. He also recovered one fumble. The Steelers released him in September 1988.
Time with the Atlanta Falcons
Lee joined the Atlanta Falcons in September 1988. He was signed and released a few times that year. Overall, he played in five games for the Falcons in 1988. He did not record any statistics during his time with them. He was released by the Falcons for the last time in August 1989.
After Football: A Career in Education
After his football career, Danzell Lee became an assistant principal. In 1996, he worked at Collins Middle School. From 1997 to 1999, he was an assistant principal at his old high school, Corsicana High School. He then became the principal there from 2000 to 2004.
Later, he became the executive director of administration. This role was for the Corsicana Independent School District. In 1999, Danzell Lee earned a Masters of Education degree. He also received a mid-management certification from Stephen F. Austin State University.
