Darjuš Lavrinovič (born 1 November 1979) is a former professional basketball player from Lithuania. He is very tall, at 2.12 meters (about 6 feet 11 inches). He mainly played as a center on the court. Darjuš was also an important member of the Lithuanian national basketball team. In 2006, he was chosen for the All-EuroLeague Second Team, which is a big honor in European basketball.

Darjuš Lavrinovič's Basketball Journey
Darjuš Lavrinovič became a well-known player during the EuroLeague 2005–06 season. He was playing for Žalgiris Kaunas at the time. His great performance led to him being named to the All-EuroLeague Second Team.
During that year, he was amazing at getting rebounds. He led both the LKL (Lithuanian League) and the Baltic League in rebounds. He grabbed an average of 9.8 rebounds in each game.
Playing for Top Teams
In 2009, Darjuš joined the famous Spanish team, Real Madrid. The next year, he moved to Fenerbahçe in Turkey. In 2011, he signed a two-year deal with CSKA Moscow, a strong team from Russia.
On 30 August 2013, he signed with Budivelnyk Kyiv in Ukraine.
In 2014, Darjuš joined Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia in Italy. He missed the start of the season due to an injury. However, he still played very well, scoring about 11.4 points per game. His team almost won the Italian League title that year.
Later in his career, Darjuš played for other teams. On 22 August 2018, he signed with BC Prienai in the Lithuanian Basketball League. On 21 September 2019, he joined the London City Royals in the British Basketball League. Finally, on 19 January 2020, he signed with BC Vytis in the National Basketball League before ending his career in 2022.
Playing for Lithuania's National Team
Darjuš Lavrinovič was also a key player for the senior Lithuanian national basketball team. He represented his country in many big tournaments.
He played in the EuroBasket 2005, 2006 FIBA World Championship, EuroBasket 2007, 2008 Summer Olympics, EuroBasket 2009, EuroBasket 2013, and the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
He helped Lithuania win important medals. He won a silver medal at the EuroBasket 2013 and a bronze medal at the EuroBasket 2007.
Darjuš Lavrinovič's Family Life
Darjuš Lavrinovič is from a Polish family living in Lithuania. He has a twin brother named Kšyštof. They both played basketball together for UNICS Kazan in Russia. They also played side-by-side on the senior men's Lithuanian national basketball team.
