Oluwafisayo Isa (born September 18, 2001), who is known by her stage name Darkoo, is a British-Nigerian rapper and singer. She became famous after her song "Gangsta," featuring One Acen, became a huge hit. The song reached number 22 on the Official Singles Chart. It also hit number one on the UK Afrobeats Chart in 2020.
Darkoo's talent has earned her major award nominations. In 2022, she was nominated for Best Diaspora Afrobeats Artist at The Headies Awards. A year later, Pandora Music Italy named her one of the most-streamed musicians.

Early Life and School
Darkoo was born in Lagos, Nigeria. When she was seven years old, she moved to the United Kingdom and grew up in South London.
For her education, she went to St Catherine's Catholic School for Girls. She also attended Christ the King: Emmanuel Sixth Form for further studies.
Music Career
Darkoo started her music journey when she was only 15. At first, she was a drill rapper, but she soon started to add singing to her songs. This mix of styles helped her create a unique sound.
Breakout Hit "Gangsta"
In late 2019, Darkoo released the single "Gangsta" with British rapper One Acen. The song quickly became very popular on the social media app TikTok.
Thanks to its online fame, "Gangsta" entered the Official Singles Chart at number 34 in November 2019. It kept climbing the charts and reached its highest position, number 22, in January 2020.
Continued Success
After the success of "Gangsta," Darkoo released more music. In March 2020, her song "Juicy," featuring Hardy Caprio, reached number 62 on the charts. Her hard work was recognized at the 2020 MOBO Awards. She was nominated for Best Female Act and Best Newcomer. Her hit song "Gangsta" was also nominated for Song of the Year.
In April 2021, Darkoo was featured on a remix of the song "Body" by Russ Millions and Tion Wayne. This remix was a massive success and helped the song get to number one on the Official Singles Chart.
First EP and New Music
Darkoo released her first EP, called 2 In 1, in July 2021. The EP included collaborations with famous artists like Tion Wayne and Unknown T.
In September 2023, it was announced that Virgin Music Nigeria would handle the distribution for Darkoo's music. This was a big step in her career, showing her growing importance in the music world.
