History of Darlington
Darlington was founded in 1879. It was named after someone who worked for the railroad. A post office has been open in Darlington since it was first established in 1879.

Darlington is found on the southern edge of the Grand River floodplain. A floodplain is a flat area of land next to a river that can get flooded.
