Early Life and Cooking Start
Dave Lieberman grew up in Philadelphia. He went to The Philadelphia School and The Shipley School. Later, he studied at Yale University. While at Yale, he started his first cooking show called Campus Cuisine. This show was on public-access television. It mixed fancy and easy-to-make recipes with fun college adventures. His show was even featured on the front page of The New York Times dining section.
A Career in Food
Lieberman's first cookbook, Young & Hungry, came out in 2005. In October 2006, he published his second cookbook, Dave's Dinners: A Fresh Approach to Home-Cooked Meals.
In November 2006, the Food Network launched its first online-only series, Eat This with Dave Lieberman. In this show, Lieberman traveled to five cities across the United States. He explored new food trends and popular dishes. These included special meats, different kinds of flavored salts, and dessert bars. Lieberman also appeared in other shows like the Yahoo! series In Search of Real Food and the PBS series America's Heartland.
