David Cerrajería Rubio (born on June 4, 1983), known as Cerra, is a Spanish former football player. He played as a defender. This means he helped protect his team's goal. He could play on either the right or left side of the field.

Cerra's Football Journey

Cerra started his career playing for Alicante CF. He spent three seasons with this team, which was in a league called Segunda División B.

Joining Valencia CF

After his time at Alicante, Cerra, who was born in Valencia, joined Valencia CF. He was 22 years old when he signed with them. For the next two years, he played for their B-team, known as Valencia CF Mestalla. His first season with the B-team was in the Tercera División, where they earned a promotion to a higher league.

Playing in La Liga

Cerra was a very flexible defender. He could play as a right back or a left back. This made him very useful to his team. He played in five matches in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league.

His first game in La Liga was on November 5, 2006. It was an away game against RCD Espanyol, and the score was 1–1. Cerra got to play because many of Valencia's defenders were injured during the 2006–07 season. Some of the more serious injuries were to Emiliano Moretti and Asier del Horno.

Moving to Other Clubs

For the 2007–08 season, Cerra was loaned to Polideportivo Ejido. This team played in the Segunda División. After Polideportivo Ejido was moved down to a lower league, Cerra left Valencia.

He then joined another club in the same region, Levante UD. In his second year with Levante, during the 2009–10 season, he played in 15 games. He started 11 of those matches. His efforts helped Levante return to the top flight of Spanish football after two years.
