David Thirdkill, born on April 12, 1960, is a former American basketball player. He played in the famous NBA league. He also became the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in Israel's top basketball league in 1993.
David Thirdkill's NBA Journey
David Thirdkill was picked by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 1982 NBA draft. This means he was one of the top players chosen that year. He was the 15th player selected overall. Thirdkill was a small forward, standing 6 feet 7 inches tall. He played for five seasons in the NBA, from 1982 to 1987.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, David Thirdkill was known by his nickname "The Sheriff." During his NBA career, he played for several teams. These included the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, and the Boston Celtics.
A big moment in his career happened on January 24, 1986. He scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in one game. This was his best performance in terms of points and rebounds. He also won an NBA championship ring with the Boston Celtics in the 1985–86 season. This is a huge achievement for any basketball player.

Playing Basketball Around the World

Thirdkill then spent five important years playing in Israel. He played mostly for Hapoel Tel Aviv. He finally retired from playing basketball in 1996. A major highlight of his international career was being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 1993.
