David Rodríguez Trueba (born September 10, 1969) is a Spanish filmmaker and writer. He is known for directing and writing many movies and TV shows. He also writes books.

David Trueba was born in Madrid, Spain, on September 10, 1969. He was the youngest of eight children in his family. His older brother, Fernando Trueba, is also a well-known filmmaker.
Early Life and Education
In 1987, David started studying journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid. Later, he went to the American Film Institute for a year. There, he learned how to write movie scripts. He even wrote the first version of the script for the movie The Worst Years of Our Lives.
David Trueba was married to actress Ariadna Gil. They are now divorced.
