Fernando Rodríguez Trueba (born on January 18, 1955), known as Fernando Trueba, is a famous Spanish filmmaker, writer, producer, and book editor. He has made many movies and won important awards for his work.

Fernando Trueba started his career in 1974. For five years, he wrote about movies for El País, a big newspaper in Spain. In 1980, he started his own movie magazine called Casablanca. He also wrote a book called Diccionario and edited another one about Latin Jazz music.
