Playing in Major League Baseball
Davis Romero started his Major League Baseball journey on August 18, 2006. He played his first game against the Baltimore Orioles. In that game, he pitched for 2.2 innings. He allowed only one hit and no runs. He also got two strikeouts.
Romero played six more games during the 2006 season. He earned his first win on September 20, 2006. This victory was against the New York Yankees. In that game, he had one strikeout.
Challenges and Comebacks
In March 2007, Romero had surgery that ended his season. He did not play baseball that year. He returned to play for the Syracuse Chiefs in 2008. In 2009, he started with the Las Vegas 51s. Both teams were part of the Blue Jays' minor league system.
