Dawid Kubacki (born March 12, 1990) is a famous Polish ski jumper. He is part of the national team and has competed in the Winter Olympics multiple times. He has won two bronze medals at the Olympics. Dawid is also a World Champion from 2019 and won the 2019-20 Four Hills Tournament. He also has a World Championship title from 2017 and a bronze medal from 2013 in team events.

Dawid Kubacki got engaged to Marta Majcher in August 2018. They got married in May 2019. Their daughter, Zuzanna, was born on December 29, 2020.
Dawid Kubacki's Ski Jumping Journey
Dawid started competing internationally on September 25, 2005, in a FIS Cup event. He earned his first points in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup on January 14, 2006, finishing 22nd. In March 2007, he first competed in the Continental Cup, placing 26th.
Key Moments in His Career
2012-2013 Season
At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013, Dawid finished 31st on the normal hill and 20th on the large hill. On March 2, 2013, he won a bronze medal in the team competition with his teammates: Kamil Stoch, Maciej Kot, and Piotr Żyła. They were first placed fourth, but after a scoring review, they moved up to third place.
2016-2017 Season
On December 3, 2016, the Polish national team, including Dawid, won their first-ever team competition. They continued their success, taking second place in a team event in Zakopane. On January 28, 2017, Poland won their second team competition in Willingen.
A big moment came on March 4, 2017. Dawid and his teammates became the 2017 World Champions in the team event. They beat strong teams from Norway and Austria in Lahti, Finland.
2017-2018 Season
Dawid had a fantastic summer season in 2017. He won 5 out of 9 competitions, showing great skill. On October 3, 2017, he won the overall title of the 2017 FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix. This was a big achievement for him.
He carried this success into the winter season. On December 30, 2017, Dawid earned his first individual podium finish in Oberstdorf, coming in third. He also had a strong performance at the 2017-18 Four Hills Tournament, finishing 6th overall, which was his best result there at the time.
On January 21, 2018, the Polish team, including Dawid, won their first-ever bronze medal in ski flying in a team competition. Later, on February 19, 2018, Dawid and his teammates won a bronze medal in the Olympic team competition in Pyeongchang. This was a historic first for Poland in this event.

Dawid has had many strong performances in the World Cup series. He finished 4th overall in the 2019-2020 season. A highlight was winning the prestigious 2019-20 Four Hills Tournament in 2020. He also placed 2nd in the Titisee-Neustadt Five mini-tournament in the same season. In the 2020-2021 season, he finished 8th overall and earned a bronze medal in the Four Hills Tournament.
