Dawson Tayrone Odums is an American football coach. He was the head coach at Norfolk State University from 2021 to 2024. Before that, he led the football team at Southern University and A&M College from 2013 to 2020. He also served as an interim head coach at Clark Atlanta University in 2004.

Early Coaching Roles
Odums coached at several universities before becoming a head coach. He worked with teams like Gardner–Webb and Georgia Southern. He also coached at Bethune–Cookman and North Carolina A&T. These roles helped him gain a lot of experience.
Leading the Southern Jaguars
In 2012, Odums became the interim head coach for the Southern Jaguars. He then became their full-time head coach in 2013. Under his leadership, the Southern Jaguars had many great seasons.
