De'voreaux White is an American actor. He started acting when he was a kid in the late 1970s. He is probably best known for playing Argyle, the young limousine driver, in the famous 1988 movie Die Hard.

De'voreaux White's Acting Career
De'voreaux White was born in Los Angeles County, California. He began acting professionally when he was just ten years old.
Early Roles in TV and Movies
His first acting jobs were on popular TV shows. These included The Jeffersons and Little House on the Prairie. In 1980, he appeared in the movie The Blues Brothers. He played a young person trying to take something from a store. In the movie Max Dugan Returns, he was one of the boys trying to keep a baseball.
In 1984, De'voreaux played Wylie in the movie Places in the Heart. This movie was recognized at the Academy Awards. White has said that this role helped him get an audition for Die Hard. He got to read lines with producer Joel Silver and star Bruce Willis.
Becoming Argyle in Die Hard
De'voreaux White filmed his scenes for Die Hard with Bruce Willis over three months. Some of their conversations in the movie were made up on the spot. This is called improvising.
Other TV Shows and Films
White also starred in the TV series Head of the Class. He played a character named Aristotle McKenzie. In 1989, he co-starred in Out on the Edge. He played a character named Lonnie who became friends with Rick Schroder. In 1992, White appeared in the movie Trespass. He also acted in the drama Shadow Hours in 2000.
Returning as Argyle
In October 2020, De'voreaux White played Argyle again. He reunited with Bruce Willis for a commercial. It was for Advance Auto Parts' DieHard car batteries.

In 2019, White started his own company in California.

In 2019, De'voreaux White lived in Newport Beach, California. His first last name was Sefas, which comes from Ethiopia. After his mother passed away, his grandparents, whose last name was White, adopted him.
